Basic Introduction to Bread Making
Mid-week start 10.30am - finish 2.30pm

What you'll learn
Our half day introduction to bread making experience days cover the very basics of bread making using locally milled flours and natural ingredients. You will learn how to create that perfect gluten window to make your own beautiful bread at home with helpful tips and guidance throughout your afternoon. You will learn how flour is made using our Mockmill to mill your own flour to use in your baking.
We will cover wholegrain flours and the various white flours as well as which breads are more suited to specific flour grains.
Everything will be provided throughout your afternoon including all of the ingredients, aprons, bowls, recipes, materials and equipment.
What you will take home
Each person takes home a goody bag with two loaves of freshly baked handmade breads, all of the recipes, a sourdough starter and new skills to continue using at home!
What you'll eat
You will be given a light lunch of homemade dips, sourdough breads and sharing plates of antipasti along with afternoon tea and homemade cake. Food intolerances are tailored and catered for at your experience. Please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
Depending on the location it is groups of 4-8 people it gives you lots of one on one attention and opportunity to ask questions in a fun, informal, collaborative home kitchen environment.
